As a Payroll Manager in London, you'll be the go to contact for all UK Payroll queries. This role is key to keeping the business compliant and running smoothly.

Description
- Managing and resolving complex and escalated payroll queries.
- Providing expert guidance on UK payroll legislation, pensions, payroll adjustments, and reconciliations.
- Conducting payroll audits and reviews to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- Supporting clients through payroll validation activities and pre-payroll checks.
- Investigating and resolving payroll, pension, and benefits-related issues.
- Collaborating with internal teams to support compliance initiatives and payroll system enhancements.
- Developing and maintaining payroll knowledge resources, training materials, and process documentation.
- Delivering training and guidance to colleagues to improve payroll knowledge and service delivery.
- Supporting incident management activities and ensuring timely resolution of payroll-related issues.
- Keeping up to date with changes in payroll legislation and best practice.
Profile
- A minimum of 2 years' UK payroll experience, with strong technical knowledge of payroll legislation, compliance, pensions, and statutory requirements.
- Proven experience handling complex payroll queries, reconciliations, audits, and payroll corrections.
- Strong understanding of payroll journals, manual adjustments, and payroll validation processes.
- Experience working with payroll software platforms and managing payroll for multiple clients or entities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and implement effective solutions.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills, including experience supporting high-value or complex client accounts.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain technical payroll matters clearly and professionally.
- Experience creating training materials, process documentation, or knowledge content would be advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and maintain high attention to detail.
- Fluent English, both written and verbal.
