We are seeking a Lettings Officer to provide a customer-focused, proactive, and comprehensive allocations and lettings service. This role will manage all aspects of the voids and allocations process, ensuring a positive on boarding experience for tenants. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues and partner organisation to ensure homes are let promptly and efficiently, while maintaining high levels of tenant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a high-quality, efficient, and compliant allocations and lettings service.
  • Manage all aspects of the voids and allocations process from notification of end of tenancy to sign-up of new tenants.
  • Provide effective on boarding experiences for tenants, ensuring they understand their responsibilities.
  • Advertise vacant properties effectively and create marketing materials.
  • Achieve timely turnaround of empty properties within key performance indicators.
  • Work in partnership with Neighbourhood Officers and Income Team to improve tenancy sustainment.
  • Monitor compliance with allocations processes to prevent tenancy fraud.
  • Maintain accurate records and update relevant housing systems.
  • Engage with stakeholders to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of tenancy management and housing allocations.
  • Understanding of housing-related policies and legislation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable 'can do' approach to service delivery.

Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in front-line allocations and lettings or housing management.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations and addressing complex customer needs.
  • Proven ability to manage own performance and optimise team outcomes.
