Are you an ambitious Senior Town Planner looking to take the next step in your career with a highly respected planning consultancy? We are working on behalf of an established and growing consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced planning professional to join its successful London team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a broad range of high-profile projects across the residential, commercial, mixed-use, logistics, infrastructure and regeneration sectors, while developing your career within a collaborative and supportive environment.

The Role

As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in delivering planning advice and managing projects from inception through to determination. You'll work closely with clients, local authorities and multidisciplinary teams, providing commercially focused planning solutions and helping to secure successful planning outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of planning applications and appeals.
  • Preparing planning appraisals, statements and supporting documentation.
  • Providing strategic planning advice to clients across a range of sectors.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and local authorities.
  • Supporting junior planners through mentoring and technical guidance.
  • Contributing to business development and helping to identify new opportunities.
  • Keeping up to date with planning policy, legislation and industry best practice.
About You

To be considered, you will ideally have:

  • MRTPI qualification (or be working towards chartership with relevant experience).
  • Experience gained within a planning consultancy or local authority.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and planning legislation.
  • Experience managing planning applications and client relationships.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
