About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Civil Litigation Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) to join our growing disputes team in our London office. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied caseload of contentious matters for both individual and corporate clients while developing your technical expertise within a collaborative and supportive office environment.

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload with appropriate supervision while assisting senior lawyers on more complex, high-value disputes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a varied caseload of civil litigation matters from instruction through to resolution.
  • Advising clients on litigation strategy, legal risks, and commercial outcomes.
  • Drafting correspondence, pleadings, witness statements, applications, and settlement agreements.
  • Conducting legal research and preparing detailed advice for clients.
  • Handling matters through the County Court and High Court where appropriate.
  • Representing clients at hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Liaising with counsel, experts, courts, and other third parties.
  • Ensuring compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
  • Working proactively towards early dispute resolution where appropriate.
  • Maintaining excellent client relationships and delivering a high standard of client care.
  • Assisting with business development activities, networking, and building professional relationships.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate.

Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
  • Minimum 2 years' PQE in civil litigation.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
  • Experience managing your own caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to dispute resolution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience in High Court litigation.
  • Advocacy experience in interlocutory hearings.
  • Experience of mediation and other ADR processes.
  • Existing professional network or involvement in business development.
  • Experience supervising trainees or junior solicitors.
