Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

6 month initial contract

£600 per day

We are looking for a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to help design and build modern DevOps capability in a greenfield Azure environment. You will lead on CI/CD, infrastructure automation, cloud governance and secure deployment practices.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Build and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform.
• Automate configuration and deployments with Ansible.
• Define DevOps standards, branching strategies and release processes.
• Embed security, compliance and quality checks into delivery pipelines.
• Work closely with infrastructure, development, security and architecture teams.

What we're looking for

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Terraform and Ansible.
• Proven experience building enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
• Good knowledge of Azure services, including AKS, App Services, Key Vault, Monitor, Storage and Virtual Networks.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, GitOps and secure DevOps practices.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash or Python.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes and Docker experience.
• Azure Landing Zone or multi-cloud experience.
• Security tooling such as SonarQube, Snyk, Checkov or Trivy.
• Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305 or AZ-400.
