Manufacturing Financial Controller - #2112768

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Financial Controller to oversee financial control activities across manufacturing operations, with a strong focus on inventory and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) accounting. A hands-on finance professional is required with deep expertise in inventory, who can strengthen controls, improve processes, and provide meaningful financial insight to support operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Own inventory and COGS accounting, ensuring accuracy and integrity of reporting.
• Manage month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial controls.
• Analyse manufacturing costs, standard costing, stock valuation, and production variances.
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve inventory accuracy and profitability.
• Lead process improvement initiatives across finance and manufacturing functions.
• Act as the key contact for external auditors on inventory and manufacturing accounting matters.

Requirements

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or qualified by experience).
• Strong manufacturing finance background.
• Significant experience in inventory accounting and COGS reporting.
• Experience with external audits and financial controls.
• Strong process improvement and business partnering skills.
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience.

Desirable

• Big 4 audit training.
• Experience within a complex manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
