Our client is based in London, managing multiple high-spec sites across zones 1-4 - they need an experienced Senior Gardener to work in residential gardens with good landscaping skills and carpentry knowledge. Ideally with some team leader experience and client facing skills with horticultural knowledge.

You will be expected to ensure that colleagues adhere to the highest standards; organise your colleagues’ movements; order materials and liaise with clients. After a trial period, you will be expected to deal directly with clients; a UK driving licence is required *

Applicants should have:

• Excellent horticultural knowledge, from plant identification to pest identification and from pruning techniques to plant care. I.e., to recognise the difference between a Borage and Foxglove seedling, between a Woolly Aphid and a Vine Weevil, an espalier and a fan-trained Apple.

• Experience in hard landscaping and carpentry – training will be provided.

• Exceptional attention to detail, be creative and have the highest standards of horticultural practice and tidiness.

• Be able to lead a team and motivate staff.

• Be punctual, tidy in appearance and have good “common sense”.

• Be able to communicate clearly with clients, staff and be able to keep records

• A full clean UK driving license and be happy to work out of London

• Working hours 7am/8am OR 4pm/5pm - Monday to Friday

• Note: you will take a plant identification test during the interview, training on plant knowledge if required.

• Use of a company van, uniform plus mobile phone allowance.
