Description

The Opportunity

An established London law firm is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its growing Commercial Property team. The successful candidate will advise a broad range of clients, including property investors, developers, owner-managed businesses, corporate occupiers, lenders and high-net-worth individuals.

This is an opportunity to join a well-regarded practice undertaking a varied mix of investment, development, asset management and landlord and tenant work, with significant client exposure and responsibility from day one.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising on acquisitions and disposals of commercial property.
  • Acting on landlord and tenant matters, including leases, renewals, licences and asset management issues.
  • Supporting clients on development projects and investment transactions.
  • Advising on real estate finance matters for borrowers and lenders.
  • Managing transactions from instruction through to completion.
  • Drafting and negotiating key transaction documents.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Working closely with colleagues across corporate, construction, planning and dispute resolution teams.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers where appropriate.
  • Supporting business development and networking initiatives.


Profile

Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.
  • Between 6 and 10 years' PQE gained within a respected commercial property practice.
  • Strong technical experience across acquisitions, disposals and landlord & tenant matters.
  • Experience of investment, development and/or finance work would be advantageous.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to manage matters independently whilst working effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
