Senior Financial Controller - #2113870

An established global macro investment manager is seeking a qualified accountant to join its finance team as Financial Controller.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a rare opportunity to gain broad exposure across management company finance, fund accounting, regulatory reporting, investor reporting and strategic business initiatives within a sophisticated alternative investment platform.

The role will suit an ambitious ACA, ACCA or CIMA-qualified accountant looking to move beyond a traditional finance role and develop a holistic understanding of how an investment manager operates.

1. Ownership of monthly management accounts across multiple entities
2. Lead budgeting, forecasting and year-end audit processes
3. Oversee cash management, financial controls and tax filings
4. Review NAV calculations and fund accounting activities
5. Liaise with fund administrators, auditors and external advisers
6. Support regulatory reporting and governance requirements
7. Contribute to board reporting and investor communications
8. Drive automation, process improvement and finance transformation initiatives

1. ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
2. Demonstrable track record in a finance function - minimum 3 years of experience
3. Background in asset management, hedge funds, fund administration, product control or audit with investment management exposure
4. Strong understanding of management accounting and financial reporting
5. Exposure to fund accounting and NAV processes is advantageous
6. Commercially minded, proactive and keen to improve processes through technology and automation

This is a genuinely broad role offering direct exposure to senior leadership, significant responsibility from day one and the opportunity to develop across both corporate and fund finance within a dynamic investment management environment and could develop in a Deputy CFO role.
