Technical Lead- Tech-Driven Quant Fund - #2114334

Not your standard algo trading firm, this company prides itself on building robust, fully automated technology to predict and trade on all liquid electronic financial markets. Instead of merely being a support function, technology is core to the business and is very much front and centre.

Looking to hire a senior engineer to be the tech lead for a team within core engineering. As a technical leader, you'll have the opportunity to drive strong design and architecture practices, taking ownership of the roadmap. As a hands-on coder, your work will focus on building critical distributed systems, developing robust monitoring and observability for infrastructure as well as live trading, and some re-architecture of legacy systems.

The successful candidate will likely currently be a tech lead or team manager within finance, big tech, or gaming. You'll have experience managing or mentoring others, structuring a team, and overseeing the output of a high performing, collaborative group of engineers.

In terms of the tech stack, it's mainly C++ or Python in a Linux environment, embracing open source software. However, individuals who have programmed in different languages are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on coding/programming experience in any languages
  
• Solid experience as a team lead, including mentoring, coaching and day-to-day management of team members
  
• Experience with distributed systems is essential
  
• Linux experience would be hugely advantageous
  
• Outstanding communication skills, able to interact at all levels of technical ability
