We are seeking an ambitious Corporate Accountant to join a London finance team for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers excellent exposure across corporate reporting, management accounting, and financial operations within a premier investment manager.

The Role

As Corporate Accountant, you will play a key role in the core finance function, taking ownership of key management reporting, corporate accounting activities, and statutory compliance across their operational entities.

This role offers broad visibility across the business, working closely with senior leadership, fund finance teams, and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management & Corporate Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and board packs for corporate entities.
  • Statutory Compliance: Take key responsibilities in preparing year-end statutory financial statements under IFRS / UK GAAP and supporting external audit processes.
  • Financial Operations: Manage month-end close processes, revenue/expense reconciliations, and intercompany settlements across group entities.
  • Tax & Regulatory: Support quarterly VAT filings, corporate tax computations, and regulatory returns (FCA where applicable).
  • Cash Management: Monitor corporate cash flow forecasting, treasury administration, and bank reconciliations.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to ongoing finance transformation, system enhancements, and automation initiatives.
About You
  • Qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (Newly Qualified up to 3 years PQE). Practice-trained (Big 4 / Top 20) or straight from industry within financial services.
  • Experience: Strong foundational knowledge of UK GAAP / IFRS and corporate accounting fundamentals. Exposure to Financial Services or Private Equity is advantageous, but not mandatory.
  • Skills: Advanced Excel capabilities and strong analytical skills. Experience with corporate ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Workday, or similar) is a plus.
  • Mindset: Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
