Product Specialist, OTC CommoditiesAbout Us

We are a fast-growing FinTech startup building a next-generation data platform for OTC derivatives markets. Our technology is transforming how valuation data is collected, validated, aggregated, anonymised, and distributed, helping financial institutions improve valuation processes while delivering high-quality data products to market participants.

The Role

AsProduct Specialist, OTC Commodities, you'll sit at the intersection of data, product, and clients, with a primary focus on the commodities asset class. You'll work directly with financial institutions and market participants to support onboarding, explain data methodologies, and ensure clients extract maximum value from our commodities datasets. You'll also play a key role in shaping and expanding our commodities data product coverage across energy, metals, and agricultural derivatives.

This is a highly visible, externally facing role with direct influence on product direction, client adoption, and revenue growth.

Responsibilities
  1. Act as a primary point of contact for data-related discussions with clients and market participants.
  2. Support client onboarding and ongoing engagement, ensuring a smooth understanding and adoption of our data products.
  3. Explain data methodologies, aggregation logic, anonymisation approaches, and product coverage in a clear, credible way.
  4. Gather client feedback and translate it into product requirements and enhancements.
  5. Lead the development and expansion of OTC commodities data products covering energy (oil, gas, power), metals, and agricultural derivatives, identifying coverage gaps and working with internal teams to address them.
  6. Work closely with internal product, data, engineering, and commercial teams to align client needs with platform capabilities.
  7. Support sales and commercial discussions by acting as a subject matter expert on OTC data and market structure.
  8. Represent the company in client meetings, workshops, and industry events.
Requirements
  1. Strong experience in OTC commodities derivatives and financial market data.
  2. Background working at a data vendor, market data provider, exchange, trading firm, consultancy, or within the commodities trading, finance, valuation, or control function of a financial institution or energy company.
  3. Deep expertise in OTC commodities products, including energy (oil, gas, power, LNG), metals (base and precious), and agricultural derivatives, with familiarity across their valuation and risk conventions.
  4. Comfortable explaining complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  5. Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with senior stakeholders.
  6. A product mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities to turn data into scalable, commercial products.
  7. No coding required, but you should be highly data-literate and comfortable engaging with technical teams.
Location & Working Model
  1. Role can be based in London or New York.
  2. UK visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.
What We Offer
  1. A fast-moving, high-impact startup environment where you'll help define and build cutting-edge OTC commodities data products.
  2. Direct engagement with leading financial institutions and sophisticated market participants.
  3. Significant influence over product strategy and data expansion as the company scales.
  4. A collaborative team environment with strong backing from experienced industry professionals and long-term investors.
  5. Competitive compensation and benefits, including healthcare, dental, and vision coverage.
