Client Value Analyst

The Opportunity

A leading international law firm is seeking a Client Value Analyst to join its London Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Client Value, this role plays a key part in helping lawyers shape commercially sound, client-focused fee proposals and ensuring matters are managed efficiently and profitably throughout their lifecycle.


You'll prepare data-driven fee estimates, analyse alternative fee arrangements, produce budget-to-actual reporting, and support matter profitability reviews. We are seeking a commercially aware, analytical professional who is also a confident communicator and can work with various senior stakeholders across the firm, providing financial and pricing insights.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial models and templates to analyse fee proposals using firmwide metrics.
  • Run profitability and sensitivity analyses to support the relevant departments in evaluating pricing options.
  • Produce internal and external reporting for ongoing matters, ensuring accurate revenue forecasting.
  • Support the implementation of pricing proposals and fee arrangements.
  • Contribute to matter budgeting, automation initiatives and matter management improvements.
  • Build a strong understanding of departments, practice groups and client portfolios to support strategic pricing and planning.


Requirements

  • Higher education degree required; Accounting, Finance or Economics strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience in financial analysis or pricing; legal industry experience is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team player with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and relational database systems; SQL and VBA experience desirable.
  • Experience with ChatGPT or generative AI tools is a plus.
