A large, well-known charity is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to join its finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. • Reviewing management accounts, journals and financial reporting prepared by the wider team, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy.
  • Supporting the development of business cases, income projections and financial modelling to inform strategic initiatives.
  • Leading, mentoring and developing two direct reports, helping to strengthen business partnering capability within the team.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and the use of financial data to support operational performance.
  • Supporting finance transformation initiatives and contributing to future systems and reporting improvements where required.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Previous charity sector experience, which is essential.
  • Demonstrable experience operating in a Finance Business Partner or Senior Finance Business Partner role.
  • Strong people management experience, with the ability to coach and develop finance professionals.
  • Excellent business partnering and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence senior leaders.
  • Experience supporting fundraising, income generation or other commercially focused functions would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience producing financial models, forecasts and business cases.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a large, well-known charity during an exciting period of transformation, where you will play a key role in supporting one of the organisation's most important income-generating functions while developing a high-performing finance team.
