Legal Assistant needed in South East London Paying £22.86 per hr ref OR111122

Full time hours on a temporary basis

• Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of property transactions from inception to completion.
  • Draft legal documentation including Agreements, Deeds of Surrender, Transfers, and associated property documents.
  • Progress files through all stages of the conveyancing process.
  • Prepare and submit SDLT returns within required timescales.
  • Complete HM Land Registry applications and deal with requisitions where necessary.
  • Undertake title reviews and investigate property ownership and legal interests.
  • Liaise with clients, solicitors, landlords, tenants, housing teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
  • Support the delivery of property acquisition and buy-back projects.
  • Assist with Right to Buy, residential conveyancing, and other property-related transactions as required.
  • Ensure all matters are progressed efficiently and completed within agreed deadlines.
