Syndicate Financial Controller - #2116266

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Syndicate Financial Controller to join a leading Lloyd's insurer. This is a high-profile leadership role, taking ownership of the financial control and regulatory reporting for multiple Lloyd's syndicates while leading an established finance team.

Working closely with senior finance leaders and key stakeholders across the business, you'll ensure robust financial reporting, maintain a strong control environment, and play a key role in driving process improvements and finance transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Syndicate Finance team, providing guidance, development and technical expertise.
• Take ownership of Lloyd's syndicate financial reporting, ensuring all regulatory and Group reporting is delivered accurately and on time.
• Oversee UK GAAP and US GAAP reporting, Solvency UK submissions and Lloyd's returns.
• Manage the relationship with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and senior business leaders.
• Drive continuous improvement across financial reporting, controls and close processes.
• Own key financial controls, governance processes and reporting frameworks.
• Support the ongoing development of finance systems and reporting capabilities.
• Attend and contribute to senior governance committees, including Audit and Reserve Committees.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong post-qualified experience within the Lloyd's insurance market and a proven track record of leading financial reporting teams.
