- Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale 400kV substation projects, ensuring that scope, programme, budget, quality, and safety objectives are achieved.
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams, coordinating engineering, design, commercial, planning and stakeholder activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and providing regular project updates, risk reporting and performance reviews.
- Develop and manage detailed project programmes, resource plans, budgets and forecasts, ensuring effective project controls are implemented and maintained.
- Identify, manage and mitigate project risks and opportunities, driving proactive solutions to technical, commercial and programme challenges.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, CDM requirements, client standards and quality management processes, whilst promoting a strong health, safety and environmental culture.
- Support business development activities, contributing to bids, proposals and strategic client engagement initiatives as required.
- Mentor and develop junior project management professionals, promoting best practice and continuous improvement across the project delivery team.
- Demonstrable experience managing large-scale power transmission or high-voltage substation projects within a consultancy, contractor or utility environment.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance processes and project controls.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex stakeholder environments.
- Excellent commercial awareness, including budget management, change control and contract administration.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with NEC contracts and UK transmission network projects would be advantageous.
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Professional accreditation such as APM, PRINCE2, PMP or Chartered status is desirable.
- Starting salary ranging from £75,000 - £100,000 per annum
- Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
- 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday (08:00-17:00)
