This is an excellent opportunity for a legally qualified professional, or someone with a strong legal background, to move into legal publishing and knowledge management. Working within an international editorial team, you will help develop, maintain, and enhance legal content for European growth markets while contributing to innovative technology and AI-led projects.

Description

As an Associate Editor, you will support the development of high-quality online legal content for expanding European and international markets. Working alongside experienced editorial and legal professionals, you will research legal developments, draft and maintain practical resources, and help ensure content remains accurate, commercially relevant, and aligned with customer needs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the creation and coordination of legal content for European and international growth initiatives.
  • Research legal, regulatory, and market developments and present findings clearly and concisely.
  • Draft legal updates, articles, and other online content for publication.
  • Assist with content maintenance to ensure materials remain current, accurate, and commercially relevant.
  • Audit content libraries and databases, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across editorial, product, marketing, and technology teams.
  • Contribute to legal technology and AI-driven content projects.
  • Support wider international growth programmes as business priorities evolve.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist senior colleagues in drafting, editing, and updating legal know-how resources, including practice notes, checklists, standard documents, clauses, and legal updates.
  • Support data collection, content tracking, and project coordination activities.
  • Monitor legal and market developments relevant to key growth regions.
  • Assist with client-facing initiatives such as webinars, demonstrations, and industry events.
  • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and communication activities.
  • Provide flexible support across a variety of strategic editorial projects.


Profile

About You

You will ideally be a qualified lawyer, legal professional, or someone with a strong academic legal background who has a genuine interest in legal publishing, knowledge management, and emerging technologies.


Essential Skills & Experience
  • Legal qualification or strong legal academic background.
  • Excellent written communication and editorial skills.
  • Strong legal research and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to absorb and apply complex information effectively.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong interest in technology, AI, and digital content solutions.
  • Experience studying or working within any area of law, either in the UK or internationally.
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Fluency in one or more European languages.
  • Experience using legal knowledge databases, content management systems, or editorial platforms.
  • Exposure to legal technology, legal operations, or AI-enabled content projects.
  • Experience coordinating large content sets, databases, or information repositories.

Applicants should possess one of the following:


  • An undergraduate law degree (UK or international equivalent); or
  • A non-law undergraduate degree together with a recognised postgraduate law qualification or equivalent legal education.
