Location: SE1 4QQ, London (Frequent travel across London with occasional national travel and overnight stays)
Salary: £31,443 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Education Officer to lead and coordinate our education programme across the region. You will deliver engaging workshops, assemblies, and training sessions to young people aged 11-18, teachers, and professionals, helping to raise awareness of homelessness and the challenges faced by young people.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys public speaking, building partnerships, developing educational resources, and making a positive impact within schools and youth settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the regional education programme.
  • Deliver workshops, assemblies, group sessions, and virtual learning activities.
  • Train teachers and professionals on youth homelessness.
  • Develop and update educational resources and programme content.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, colleges, and partner organisations.
  • Promote the programme, generate income, and achieve engagement targets.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and maintain accurate records of programme activities.
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, lone working, and equality policies.
  • Design and deliver projects that respond to local needs.
What You will have:
  • Experience working with young people and professionals.
  • Excellent presentation, workshop facilitation, and training skills.
  • Experience creating educational resources and lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working towards targets and promoting services.
  • Understanding of issues affecting children and young people in the UK.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong IT skills and experience creating digital content.
Knowledge of homelessness, healthy relationships, and risk-taking behaviours is desirable.
