Software Engineer - NPPV3 Cleared, Contract

Ncounter is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to work on a complex technology programme within UK policing, building secure applications and services across data-heavy environments.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring active NPPV3 clearance and previous experience delivering technology within policing.


Key experience:

• Active NPPV3 clearance

• Strong Java and/or Python development skills

• Previous experience across UK policing data and technology programmes

• AWS and cloud application development

• OpenShift, Kubernetes or similar container platforms

• Apache technologies, ideally Apache NiFi

• Building secure applications that process, integrate or manage complex data

• CI/CD, DevOps and modern software engineering practices


You will be working across secure, scalable systems where software engineering, cloud and data come together, collaborating with technical and programme stakeholders in a complex public sector environment.
