Marine Cargo Underwriter
City of London | Hybrid | Circa £65,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Eames are partnered with a highly respected insurer looking to hire a Marine Cargo Underwriter into their London team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a lean, stable, and progressive underwriting team where you will have genuine exposure to decision making, broker development, and portfolio management, rather than being a small cog in a large machine.
Working closely with the lead underwriter and leadership, you will be responsible for underwriting a diverse portfolio of UK & EU Marine Cargo business, developing broker relationships, and contributing to the continued growth and profitability of the account.
Key responsibilities include:
• Underwriting new business and renewals across Marine Cargo risks, including Stock Throughput business
• Developing and managing broker relationships across the London Market
• Assessing risk, determining pricing, and negotiating terms within authority
• Monitoring portfolio performance and profitability
