Clinical Negligence & Personal Injury Associate - #2121983

A leading London law firm is seeking an Associate to join its busy Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented solicitor to work closely with Partners and experienced lawyers on complex claimant matters, while developing their technical expertise and client relationships.

The successful Clinical Negligence & Personal Injury Associate will handle a varied caseload involving complex liability, causation and quantum issues, with exposure to high-value and challenging claims.

• Advising clients on complex claimant clinical negligence and personal injury claims
• Managing casework across liability, causation and quantum
• Working closely with Partners and senior lawyers on complex matters
• Preparing legal documents, correspondence and advice
• Conducting legal research and analysing evidence
• Managing cases in accordance with procedural and funding requirements
• Maintaining strong client relationships and providing high-quality client care
• Liaising with experts, counsel and other professionals involved in claims
• Contributing to case strategy and achieving strong outcomes for clients
• Supporting the wider department with business development activities
• Developing relationships with existing referrers and identifying new sources of work
• Contributing to the profile and growth of the department and wider firm

• Qualified solicitor with experience in clinical negligence and/or claimant personal injury
• Strong experience across liability, causation and quantum
• Good understanding of relevant procedural and funding requirements
• Excellent legal drafting and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and case management abilities
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Commercially aware and proactive in developing relationships
• Able to work effectively as part of a team while taking ownership of matters
• Strong interest in business development and building a professional profile
• Organised and able to manage competing priorities effectively

• £45,000 - £60,000 salary
