Opportunity for an Employment Associate or Senior Associate to join a leading international law firm in London, with a particular focus on complex employment litigation.

The team

The successful candidate will join a highly regarded Employment & Reward team, recognised as one of the largest and most experienced employment practices in the UK.

The team advises a diverse client base ranging from major UK businesses to international corporations, with particular expertise across complex employment litigation, strategic workforce matters, corporate transactions and senior executive issues.

The role

The firm is seeking an Employment Associate or Senior Associate to join its London team, with a particular focus on contentious employment work.

Working closely with leading partners and experienced employment specialists, the successful candidate will advise major employers on complex and sensitive disputes alongside a broader mix of strategic advisory, non-contentious and corporate support work.

This will include:

  • Advising on complex Employment Tribunal litigation and other employment disputes
  • Handling discrimination, whistleblowing and other sensitive employment claims
  • Advising on senior executive disputes, terminations and contentious board-level matters
  • Advising on restrictive covenants, team moves and post-termination issues
  • Supporting corporate transactions and business change projects from an employment perspective
  • Advising clients on strategic employment and workforce matters
  • Working alongside international colleagues on cross-border employment mandates
  • Advising on trade union and industrial relations matters where relevant

Required

  • UK qualified Solicitor with 2 - 6 PQE
  • Strong contentious employment experience gained within a leading law firm or recognised employment practice
  • Experience handling complex Employment Tribunal litigation and sensitive employment disputes
  • Strong technical knowledge across employment law, with excellent drafting and client-facing skills
  • Experience advising on trade union and/or industrial relations matters would be advantageous but is not essential
