A highly regarded investment management organisation is seeking a senior Director-level Operational Due Diligence and Investment Oversight professional to join its London-based team.

This is a strategic hire offering broad exposure across both traditional and alternative investment strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading operational due diligence reviews, evaluating control environments and overseeing the ongoing monitoring of external investment managers across a diverse range of asset classes.

This opportunity would particularly suit candidates from a Fund Control, Fund Finance, Fund Accounting, Financial Control or Operational Due Diligence background who are looking to broaden their remit into investment oversight, manager research and governance. The firm is open to individuals currently operating in senior fund finance leadership roles who have strong experience assessing operational infrastructure, control environments and third-party service providers.

  2. Assess governance structures, internal controls, operational infrastructure and risk management frameworks.
  3. Evaluate investment operations, valuation processes, service providers and business continuity arrangements.
  4. Review fund accounting operating models, outsourced administration arrangements and fund control frameworks across a range of investment strategies.
  5. Assess NAV production processes, financial reporting controls, valuation governance and oversight models.
  6. Present findings and recommendations to senior committees and key decision-makers.
  7. Conduct ongoing monitoring of approved managers and identify emerging operational risks.
  8. Support manager onboarding, mandate reviews and investment approval processes.
  9. Drive enhancements to the firm's operational due diligence framework and governance standards.
  10. Partner with stakeholders across investments, legal, compliance, risk and finance.
