Workforce Manager

London hybrid

Responsibilities:


  • Lead the development of research and evidence on workforce, skills and higher education challenges affecting the sector.
  • Translate complex data, insights and stakeholder intelligence into compelling thought leadership, policy recommendations and practical solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with employers, education providers, professional bodies, policymakers and other strategic stakeholders.
  • Support policy and advocacy activity by developing evidence-based positions and recommendations for government and external audiences.
  • Develop reports, briefings, presentations and communications assets that promote organisational thought leadership and influence.
  • Manage projects, budgets and a direct report, ensuring delivery against objectives and organisational priorities.

Essential:

  • Strong experience in policy, public affairs, research, workforce development, education, skills or a related field.
  • Proven track record of producing high-quality evidence-based research, reports and policy outputs that influence stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data and translate insights into clear recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of the UK education, skills, workforce or STEM landscape.
  • Demonstrable experience of building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders across government, industry, education or professional membership environments.
  • Experience of managing projects and priorities, with the ability to deliver multiple workstreams to deadline.

Job Offer
