My client is looking to hire a Pricing Actuary to join their dynamic and growing insurance business, supporting a specialist underwriting division with a focus on property risks. The role involves delivering actuarial pricing support through the development of pricing tools, conducting portfolio and transactional analyses, and monitoring performance metrics such as rate change and price adequacy. You will play a key part in refining pricing models, contributing to committee reporting, and partnering closely with underwriters, claims, and data teams to ensure high-quality data and robust pricing decisions.
In addition to core technical work, you will have the opportunity to train and influence underwriting teams, support process improvements, and contribute to wider actuarial projects such as business planning and strategic initiatives. The role offers strong exposure to senior stakeholders and encourages continuous development, innovation, and the application of best practice pricing techniques within a collaborative environment.
We are looking for candidates who are FIA Qualified with strong pricing experience, ideally gained within the insurance or reinsurance market. Applicants should demonstrate solid technical and analytical skills, along with experience using tools such as Excel and, ideally, programming languages like Python, R, or SQL. A commercial mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
