Project Coordinator

We are working with a fast-growing advisory firm at the forefront of the Mergers & Acquisitions space to find a highly organised Project Coordinator to support the delivery of complex, high-value transactions. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-driven coordinator to work alongside dealmakers, gaining exposure to live M&A processes from due diligence through to completion.

Based in London with hybrid working (typically 1-2 days in the office), this role sits at the heart of the deal team, keeping projects on track, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks during time-critical transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end project timelines across live M&A transactions, tracking milestones, deliverables and dependencies.
  • Act as the central point of contact between deal teams, clients, legal counsel, and external advisors.
  • Organise and manage data rooms, ensuring documentation is accurate, up to date, and appropriately version-controlled.
  • Prepare and format board packs, transaction summaries, and client-facing reports to a high professional standard.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, calls, and site visits across multiple time zones and stakeholder groups.
  • Monitor project risks and flag potential delays or bottlenecks to the deal lead in a timely manner.
  • Support due diligence processes by tracking outstanding requests and chasing responses from relevant parties.
  • Maintain project trackers, budgets, and status reports for internal leadership and client updates.
  • Assist with the coordination of completion mechanics, including signing logistics and post-completion actions.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a project coordination, PMO, or transaction support role — M&A, corporate finance, private equity, or professional services background preferred.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable liaising with senior stakeholders and external advisors.
  • High attention to detail, particularly when handling sensitive and confidential transaction information.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project tracking tools; experience with data room platforms (e.g. Datasite, Intralinks) is a plus.
  • A proactive, calm-under-pressure approach with the ability to anticipate needs before being asked.
  • Degree educated or equivalent professional experience; a background in finance, business, or law is advantageous but not essential.

What's On Offer

  • Hybrid working model based in central London.
  • Direct exposure to live, high-profile M&A transactions.
  • Clear progression pathway within a growing advisory environment.
  • Competitive salary, benefits package, and performance-related bonus.
  • A collaborative, fast-paced culture with genuine opportunities to develop deal experience.
