Job Title: Compliance Assistant
Location: City of London
Hours: 9:00am - 5:30pm
Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
Days In Office: 5 days per week

We have a fantastic Compliance Assistant opportunity to join a brilliant claims management company based in the heart of the City of London. You will be joining a high-performing, friendly and collaborative team within the financial services sector. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with an interest in compliance and the ability to produce concise and timely work to demonstrate their value with the potential for growth. You’ll play a key role in supporting the compliance team, assisting with critical work and projects when required. Responsibilities:
• Provide AML (Anti-Money Laundering) guidance and advice during the client onboarding process
• Review, verify, and approve client documentation in line with internal compliance policies and current regulatory standards
• Support the implementation and monitoring of the firm's compliance and risk procedures
• Escalate high-risk matters or unusual activity to the Senior Compliance Officer as appropriate
• Assist with internal audits, record-keeping, and data analysis for compliance purposes
• Stay up to date with relevant AML legislation and compliance frameworks
Skills and Experience:
• A genuine interest in compliance, AML, and financial regulation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to assess documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for providing clear compliance guidance
• Ability to follow structured processes and meet deadlines in a regulated environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Prior experience in a financial or regulated environment is an advantage, but not essential
• Eagerness to grow within a compliance function and build a professional career in the sector
