Senior Claims Executive - Gravitas Recruitment Group - #2126420

An established specialist insurer is seeking an experienced Senior Claims Executive to deliver a high-quality claims and advisory service across the ports, terminals, transport and logistics sectors.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage complex claims within agreed authority levels, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
  
• Provide technical guidance and strategic advice to members, brokers and internal stakeholders.
  
• Oversee key client accounts and escalate significant claims issues when required.
  
• Support business retention, new business development and wider underwriting activity.
  
• Deliver training and mentor junior colleagues.
  
• Contribute to loss-prevention initiatives and represent the business at client meetings and industry events.
  

Candidate requirements:

• Qualified lawyer or law degree holder; legal practice experience is highly desirable.
  
• Strong litigation experience, ideally representing or defending insurers in complex disputes.
  
• Significant claims-handling experience across marine, ports, terminals, transport or logistics.
  
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
  
• Commercial, analytical and solutions-focused approach.
  
• Awareness of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
  
• Willingness to travel for client, broker and supplier meetings.
