A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Audit Specialist to join a public sector organisation, providing additional capacity to support audit teams during a particularly busy period.

Working to high professional standards, the role will involve delivering IT audit work in support of financial audits across a range of large and complex organisations. You will be responsible for assessing and testing automated controls, application controls and IT General Controls (ITGCs) across a variety of technology environments, including ERP systems, Active Directory and cloud-based platforms. The role will involve identifying and evaluating technology related risks, documenting complex business processes and control environments, interpreting third party assurance reports, and producing high-quality audit documentation for review. You will also be expected to communicate IT audit findings clearly, explain technical matters to non-technical colleagues, and maintain effective relationships with both audit teams and client stakeholders throughout audit engagements.

The successful candidate will have significant experience delivering IT audits in support of financial audit engagements, ideally at Senior Consultant level or equivalent. You will possess strong knowledge of IT controls and technology risk, with experience of auditing large and complex systems, particularly SAP environments. An IT audit qualification such as CISA would be advantageous, although demonstrable practical experience will be considered more important. You will bring strong analytical, communication and report-writing skills, together with the ability to work independently, take ownership of your work and supervise more junior colleagues where required.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced IT audit professionals on a varied portfolio of complex audit engagements. The position is offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum expectation of two days per week attending either the office or client sites, increasing during peak delivery periods.
