We are currently working with a growing boutique London law firm that is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its established private client team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with strong technical private client experience who is looking to take on a senior, hands-on role with genuine responsibility for the development of a close-knit team.
Working closely with one of the firm's partners, you will have day-to-day oversight of a team handling a varied and high-quality caseload across Wills, LPAs, trusts, estate administration and estate planning.
The RoleYou will be responsible for managing your own varied caseload while also providing leadership, guidance and support to the wider team.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload covering Wills, LPAs, estate administration, trusts and estate planning
- Taking instructions directly from clients and providing a consistently high level of client care
- Overseeing and supporting solicitors, trainee solicitors and paralegals
- Mentoring junior members of the team and supporting them with caseload management, legal research and client relationship development
- Working alongside financial advisers and accountants to provide holistic solutions for clients
- Keeping up to date with developments in private client law and relevant tax legislation
- Supporting the strategic development and leadership of the department
- Contributing to business development, networking and marketing initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with relevant SRA principles, professional conduct requirements and internal risk management procedures
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm's London offices
- 6–10 years PQE with at least six years' experience as a private client solicitor
- Deep technical knowledge across Wills, LPAs, trusts, estate administration and estate planning
- Proven experience managing a varied caseload independently
- Strong leadership and people-management experience
- Excellent client-facing skills, with the ability to deal with clients with empathy, discretion and professionalism
- A proactive and commercially minded approach to business development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work effectively in a busy, collaborative team environment
- A 2:1 or first-class degree
- STEP qualification, or a willingness to work towards this, would be highly desirable
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and legal research platforms such as Westlaw, PLC and LexisNexis
