Right now, we are looking for an IPS Employment Specialist to play a pivotal role in our Employment Services in Redbridge.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

The Employment Specialist will work one to one with service users who have serious mental health needs, helping them set employment goals and overcome barriers to getting into work. They will support clients with job searching, CVs, interview preparation and in work support, while also building relationships with local employers to identify suitable job opportunities. The role involves working closely with clinical teams and community partners, promoting the service, supporting clients to understand how work may affect their benefits, and helping people stay in employment once they have secured a job.

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. The key skills for this role are strong employer engagement, relationship building and partnership working, alongside the ability to build trusting relationships with service users and understand their individual barriers to employment. The person needs to be confident working one to one with people with serious mental health needs, helping them set career goals, develop CVs, prepare for interviews and overcome barriers to work, while also building relationships with employers to create suitable opportunities. They should be confident working with clinical teams, community partners and other stakeholders, promoting the service and finding creative solutions that help service users move into and stay in sustainable employment.
