Immigration Administrative Assistant

A British legal firm is currently recruiting an Immigration Administrative Assistant to join its Immigration Team in London.

The Immigration Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support, client communication, and entry-level immigration casework assistance to help ensure client matters are managed accurately and efficiently. This role offers the opportunity to develop experience within a professional legal environment while supporting clients through the immigration process.

The ideal candidate should have strong administrative skills, excellent attention to detail, and a professional client-focused approach.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support client onboarding by preparing and opening case matters
  • Manage case files, supporting documents, and records to ensure accuracy and organisation
  • Draft standard correspondence, emails, and application forms
  • Manage diaries, appointments, and application deadlines
  • Monitor shared inboxes and respond to routine client enquiries
  • Act as a point of contact for clients and provide updates on application progress
  • Request documents and information from clients and assist with basic forms
  • Support preparation of straightforward immigration applications under supervision
  • Conduct basic document and eligibility checks using internal guidance
  • Prepare application documents and simple summaries for submission
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements


Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a law firm or professional services environment is advantageous
  • Experience with immigration or visa applications is advantageous
  • Familiarity with UK immigration terminology and processes is advantageous
  • Experience using case management systems is advantageous
  • Additional language skills such as Chinese Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean are advantageous
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Professional and client-focused approach
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and general IT systems


Conditions

  • Location: City of London
  • Working Style: hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days WFH)
  • Salary: £30,000 per annum depending on experience
  • Job Type: permanent, full-time
  • Working Hours: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday
  • Start: negotiable


Visa Support
