An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a highly regarded and growing UK accountancy practice as a Corporate Tax Senior Manager, with a particular focus on owner-managed businesses (OMB).

The successful candidate will join an established and ambitious tax team, working with entrepreneurial clients and privately owned businesses across a broad range of sectors.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Corporate Tax professional who enjoys working closely with business owners, understands the commercial drivers behind their decisions and wants genuine scope to develop client relationships, advisory work and the wider tax offering.

You will take responsibility for a portfolio of OMB and privately owned clients, providing high-quality corporate tax compliance and advisory services while acting as a trusted adviser to business owners and senior stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of owner-managed and privately owned businesses.
• Overseeing corporate tax compliance work and ensuring consistently high technical standards.
• Providing practical, commercially focused corporate tax advice.
• Advising shareholders and business owners on profit extraction and remuneration strategies.
• Supporting clients with acquisitions, disposals and business restructuring.
• Advising on succession planning, MBOs, EOTs and wider exit strategies.
• Advising on corporate reorganisations and associated tax planning.
• Identifying tax planning and advisory opportunities across the client portfolio.
• Supporting clients with HMRC enquiries and other technical tax matters.
• Working closely with accounts, audit and specialist teams to deliver joined-up advice.
• Developing strong, long-term relationships with clients and becoming a trusted point of contact.
• Mentoring and developing junior members of the tax team.
• Supporting business development and identifying opportunities to grow relationships with existing and prospective clients.

We are looking for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager or Senior Manager with a strong background in UK accountancy practice and a genuine interest in working with OMB and privately owned businesses.

You will ideally have:

• Significant experience within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong corporate tax compliance and advisory experience.
• A proven track record of working with OMBs, entrepreneurs and privately owned groups.
• Strong technical knowledge across areas such as restructuring, succession planning, profit extraction and business disposals.
• The ability to build trusted relationships with business owners and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, commercial and client-management skills.
• Experience supervising, mentoring and developing junior staff.
• A proactive approach to identifying tax planning and advisory opportunities.
• ACA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
