Quantity Surveyor – Façades & Building Envelope - #2128577

Facades Talent Group are working with an established and growing façades contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with experience within façades, cladding, building envelope or the wider construction sector.

The contractor works across a range of projects including new build, refurbishment, remedial works and re-cladding, covering a variety of façade and external envelope systems.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction and contract award through to final account.

You will work closely with the commercial, operational and design teams, as well as clients, subcontractors and suppliers, to ensure projects are delivered successfully and profitably.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the commercial aspects of multiple façade projects.
• Preparing and managing project budgets and forecasts.
• Subcontractor procurement and management.
• Preparing valuations, applications and payment notices.
• Managing variations, changes and contractual matters.
• Monitoring project costs and financial performance.
• Preparing and agreeing final accounts.
• Managing client and subcontractor relationships.
• Supporting the pre-construction and tendering process.
• Reviewing specifications, drawings and project documentation.
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
• Working closely with project and site teams to maximise project profitability.

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within façades, cladding, building envelope or a related construction environment.

Experience across façade systems such as rainscreen, curtain walling, SFS, render, EWI, insulation or re-cladding would be highly advantageous.

We are open to candidates from Assistant Quantity Surveyor through to Senior Quantity Surveyor level, depending on experience.

Strong commercial awareness, communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
