Senior Site Manager - Residential - #2129517

Our client is a highly regarded residential developer with a strong pipeline of major schemes across London and the South East. With continued growth and several projects progressing through the pipeline, they are looking to strengthen their team.

They are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to take a key role in the successful delivery of a major residential development.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established Senior Site Manager with a strong residential background who is looking to join a well respected developer with a healthy pipeline of future work and genuine opportunities for progression.

The Role of Senior Site Manager

Working closely with the Project Manager and Construction Director, responsibilities will include:

• Taking day-to-day responsibility for the successful delivery of residential projects
• Managing projects from the early construction stages through to completion and handover
• Managing Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers, direct operatives and subcontractors
• Driving the programme and ensuring key project milestones are achieved
• Maintaining high standards of quality throughout all stages of construction
• Managing health & safety and ensuring site standards are maintained
• Coordinating closely with commercial, technical and design teams
• Managing subcontractors and maintaining strong relationships with the supply chain
• Identifying potential programme and construction issues and resolving them effectively
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard

To be successful as Senior Site Manager, you will need:

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager within residential construction
• A strong track record of delivering major residential developments
• Experience working for a residential developer, housebuilder or main contractor
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and build programmes
• Excellent leadership and subcontractor management skills
• A strong eye for quality and attention to detail
• The ability to take ownership and drive the day-to-day delivery of a project
• Ambition to progress further within construction management
