Project Surveyor
Bristol | Housing & Property Services | Full Time | BG12
MMP are seeking a Project Surveyor to join our clients Housing team, delivering a diverse range of capital works, repairs, maintenance, and improvement programmes across Bristol.
The Role
As a Project Surveyor, you will take ownership of construction projects from initial survey through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You'll work across a varied portfolio of residential and property improvement schemes, including:


  • Kitchens, bathrooms, rewires and heating upgrades

  • Window and roofing replacement programmes

  • Fire safety and building compliance works

  • Refurbishment and environmental improvement projects

  • Multi-storey and low-rise block upgrades

  • Building condition surveys and land appraisals

  • Sustainability and energy efficiency improvements


Key Responsibilities


  • Carry out building inspections, surveys, and condition assessments

  • Diagnose defects and prepare technical specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation

  • Manage projects through all stages of delivery, including planning, procurement, site supervision, and handover

  • Administer contracts using JCT and NEC forms of contract

  • Monitor quality, programme performance, expenditure, and contractor performance

  • Ensure compliance with relevant building, housing, health and safety, and fire safety legislation

  • Engage effectively with residents and customers throughout project lifecycles

  • Produce reports, financial updates, and project documentation

  • Support delivery of sustainable and low-energy construction solutions.


You will ideally have:


  • Experience delivering construction, maintenance, refurbishment, or housing improvement projects

  • Strong technical surveying knowledge and building pathology skills

  • Experience preparing specifications, schedules of works, and tender documentation

  • Understanding of contract administration, ideally under JCT and/or NEC contracts

  • Knowledge of current housing, building safety, and health & safety legislation

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong organisational and financial management abilities

  • A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and value for money.
