This is an excellent opportunity for a Construction Project Manager with a strong consultancy or client-side background to take responsibility for the delivery of projects across the retail, commercial and leisure sectors.

You will manage projects throughout both the pre-construction and post-construction phases, working closely with clients, design teams, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure projects are successfully delivered.

Alongside project delivery, you will take responsibility for client relationships, manage internal project teams and support the development and mentoring of junior members of the team.

The Role

As a Construction Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day delivery of construction projects.
  • Managing projects throughout pre-construction and post-construction stages.
  • Coordinating and managing design teams and developing appropriate project solutions.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Managing client accounts and maintaining strong long-term relationships.
  • Managing consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
  • Administering construction contracts.
  • Developing and maintaining key project documentation and processes.
  • Monitoring project progress, programmes and overall delivery.
  • Preparing and presenting regular project reports and updates to clients.
  • Managing project risks and identifying potential delivery issues.
  • Contributing to value management and value engineering exercises at both project and programme level.
  • Working within complex multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Ensuring project outputs are delivered within agreed timescales.
  • Managing and mentoring junior members of the Project Management team.
  • Maintaining high standards of project delivery and client service.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this Construction Project Manager position, you will ideally have:

  • Significant Project Management experience within the construction industry.
  • Previous experience working within a construction/property consultancy or client-side organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of both pre-construction and post-construction project delivery.
  • Experience administering construction contracts.
  • Previous client-facing experience with the ability to manage and develop key relationships.
  • Experience managing design teams, consultants and contractors.
  • Experience delivering projects within the retail, commercial and/or leisure sectors.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior members of staff.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong understanding of value management and value engineering.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to constructively challenge where required.
  • A proactive, self-motivated and collaborative approach.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • A degree in Construction Management or a related discipline would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Chartered status, or working towards chartership, would also be advantageous.

What's On Offer?

  • £65,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Competitive overall remuneration package.
  • Comprehensive employee benefits package.
  • Ongoing professional development and training.
  • Support towards continued professional and chartered development.
  • Wellbeing-focused employee benefits.
  • Opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of construction projects.
  • Exposure to established clients across the retail, commercial and leisure sectors.
  • Opportunity to manage and mentor junior members of the team.
  • Long-term career development within an established and growing construction consultancy.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Construction Project Manager looking to join an established consultancy and take responsibility for a varied portfolio of projects across London.
