About the Role
As Legal Counsel, you will:
- Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, software licensing arrangements and technology contracts.
- Advise the business on commercial, regulatory and strategic legal matters across UK and European operations.
- Support public sector and government contracting activities, helping the business navigate procurement requirements.
- Provide commercially focused legal advice on areas including intellectual property, data protection, export controls and regulatory compliance.
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders across legal, commercial, engineering and product teams to support business growth.
- Assist with corporate governance, compliance and legal risk management across multiple jurisdictions.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Europe on cross-border legal matters and best practice initiatives.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales with approximately 4–10 years PQE (guideline).
- Have strong experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, ideally involving technology, software or intellectual property.
- Have experience advising on public procurement, regulated industries or government contracting, although candidates from broader commercial backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
- Be comfortable providing practical, commercially focused legal advice to senior stakeholders.
- Possess excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Enjoy working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where legal plays a key role in commercial decision-making.
