We're partnering with a global financial services organisation that is investing heavily in its infrastructure estate and is looking for an experienced engineer to join its London team.

Working as part of a global infrastructure function, you'll play a key role in designing, implementing and supporting business-critical network and unified communications platforms, ensuring high availability, resilience and security across the estate.

You'll be joining a collaborative engineering team where you'll have real ownership of critical infrastructure, exposure to global projects, and the opportunity to influence the future direction of the network and voice environment. This role offers a broad mix of BAU, project delivery, architecture and continuous improvement rather than simply keeping the lights on.

What you'll do

1. Design, implement and support enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN and VPN infrastructure
2. Configure and maintain Cisco routing, switching and firewall technologies
3. Support enterprise voice and unified communications platforms, including SIP trunks and Session Border Controllers
4. Monitor, optimise and troubleshoot network performance and availability
5. Deliver infrastructure upgrades, migrations and continuous improvement projects
6. Provide 3rd line support for complex networking and voice issues
7. Work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors and global infrastructure teams
8. Contribute to network security, disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.

What we're looking for

? Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field,

? 5+ years' hands-on network engineering experience

? StrongCisconetworking experience (CCNA/CCNP preferred)

? Experience with:

1. Cisco Routing & Switching
2. Firewalls
3. LAN/WAN/WLAN
4. VPN
5. BGP & OSPF
6. Multicast
7. VoIP & Unified Communications
8. SIP Trunks & SBCs
9. Wireless Networks

? Experience with network monitoring and performance management

? Scripting or automation experience (Python, Ansible or similar) would be highly advantageous

? Previous financial services experience is beneficial but not essential.
