We are recruiting to ASU London, and we require staff to contribute across all our Business and Management, Engineering and Computer Science programmes as reasonably possible. Academics teaching on our programmes should generally be skilled in guiding students through real world challenges, supporting multidisciplinary teamwork, and using industry standard tools and workflows given the highly practical, project-based pedagogy we have. They should be confident embedding sustainability, ethics, inclusivity, technology adoption and responsible innovation into their teaching, reflecting the programme’s emphasis on professional identity and societal impact.
About the Role
In particular, the knowledge required for the programme is:
BSc (Hons) Business and Management: Strong expertise across core business disciplines—including business law, management, marketing, finance, accounting, operations, strategy, leadership, supply chain management and digital literacy—to support learning outcomes that span analytical methods, applied business tools, ethical and sustainable practice, capability development and real-world problem-solving.
Person Specification:
Qualifications/Professional Membership
- Doctorate in relevant subject (or equivalent professional /industry experience).
- PGCert in Learning & Teaching in HE or equivalent.
- Fellowship of HEA (Descriptor 2 of UKPSF).
Teaching & Learning
- Deliver high-quality UG and PG teaching, using varied methods and technologies.
- Design modules and contribute to programme structure.
- Lead modules of study and attend exam boards.
- Supervise UG dissertations and PG taught projects.
- Collaborate with partners on real-world projects.
Research, Scholarship &/or Practice
- Establish independent research /practice profile.
- Publish in peer-reviewed outlets.
- Apply for small / medium funding.
- Disseminate via conferences, exhibitions.
Knowledge Exchange & External Engagement
- Build professional networks.
- Apply research to external partnerships.
- Present at conferences.
Academic Citizenship & Leadership
- Take on departmental administrative duties (e.g., Admissions Tutor, Ethics Lead).
- Support programme and curriculum management.
- Work collaboratively across teams.
