I Love My Job Ltd

Are you highly organised, detail-focused, and looking to build a career in buying / product development?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established, consumer lifestyle brand. As the company continues to grow, they're looking for a Product Development Admin Assistant / BAA to provide hands-on administrative and coordination support to the Product Development team.

This is a varied, fast-paced role, ideal for someone who enjoys jumping between projects, spreadsheets, data entry and product specs, and wants broad exposure to how products move from concept through to shelf. This opportunity would suit someone who is creative and excited by the idea of building a long-term career in product development.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting the Product Development team with product set-up, including specifications, dimensions, weights and mass-updating fields for external submissions.
  • Carrying out comp shops, both online and in-person, to help the team spot trends and generate new product ideas.
  • Taking opportunities to own and develop smaller ranges as you grow into the role
  • Helping with in-house testing across key product categories, checking function, quality and safety ahead of sign-off meetings.
  • Checking, scanning and labelling pre-production and pre-shipment samples, and keeping the sample library organised and accessible.
  • Carrying out 360 artwork reviews, applying strong attention to detail to catch errors before print.
  • Sending and tracking parcels to factories, opening deliveries and allocating samples to the relevant teams.
  • Back-filling missing data on the product inhouse system and supporting customer portals with product data uploads.
  • Managing re-order artworks, submitting these to the design studio in good time.
  • Supporting on ad-hoc administrative tasks across a busy, collaborative team.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Accuracy and a positive attitude towards heavy admin - this is the most important thing.
  • An agile, fluid approach, comfortable switching tasks frequently throughout the day.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A degree is preferred but not essential.
  • 1-2 years of office based admin experience would be ideal but not essential.
  • Comfortable using systems and databases, and confident picking up new software.
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • A creative mindset and genuine interest in retail or product would be an advantage.
  • Please note this is a junior, entry-level position and would not suit someone looking for a step up from a similar role.

Why You'll Love This Role

  • Join a successful, growing consumer brand with a genuinely creative, collaborative culture.
  • Enjoy broad exposure to how products are developed, tested and brought to market.
  • Natural progression into product development over time, though not a requirement.
  • Be part of a busy, sociable team where your ideas and initiative are valued.

Diversity & Inclusion: ILMJ values diversity, equality and inclusion and encourages applicants from all backgrounds and identities.
