Loan Administration Officer - International Bank - CassonX - #2134869

CassonX are delighted to be exclusively recruiting for the International Bank that is a member of the Association of Foreign Banks. This company are looking to hire someone to work in their well established Loan Operations team. This small but stable company to work for will provide an opportunity to grow, have a long-term career, and is indicative of their very hands-on approach and “everyone mucks in” mentality, to successfully run a branch of an international bank.

To be considered for the role, CassonX is seeking an individual with a background in banking, wealth management, or loan agency, with hands-on experience in Loan Administration, Credit Operations, or a similar banking operations function. The ideal candidate will have experience administering both bilateral and syndicated loans, with a strong understanding of the full loan lifecycle. This should include processing drawdowns, rollovers, rate fixings, repayments, prepayments, fees, and payments, as well as ensuring transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. A good understanding of SWIFT is important, particularly MT999, MT799, MT103 and MT202.You will need to be numerate, analytical and confident investigating discrepancies, with a strong understanding of the importance of controls and operational risk within a banking environment. Exposure to LMA or BAFT documentation and market standards would be advantageous.

This is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who wants to broaden their knowledge, as the role covers, syndicated and bilateral lending, participations, assignments and secondary loan trading, as well as mortgage-related activities. The successful candidate will be joining a team where accuracy, attention to detail and strong operational controls are essential. You will have responsibility for ensuring transactions are processed correctly and within agreed deadlines, while also having regular interaction with internal departments, customers, agent banks and external counterparties.

Alongside the day-to-day processing, the role provides excellent exposure to the wider operational side of banking, including reconciliations, exception management, documentation, reporting, audit and compliance. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in process improvements and system enhancements, making this a role that offers more than simply transaction processing.
