The successful candidate will take ownership of the end-to-end consolidation process, covering both monthly reporting and statutory group financial statements.

Reporting into the Head of Accounting, you will also play a key role in the external audit process and support the wider Group Finance team on technical accounting matters, particularly around acquisitions, impairment and consolidation adjustments.

  • Prepare consolidated financial information for monthly reporting and statutory accounts
  • Manage intercompany differences, eliminations and consolidation adjustments
  • Oversee foreign currency translation and related consolidation accounting
  • Support goodwill, asset and investment impairment assessments
  • Ensure compliance with relevant IFRS, particularly IFRS 3, IFRS 10 and IAS 36
  • Act as the key point of contact for external auditors at group level
  • Support deferred tax considerations arising from consolidation adjustments
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate the consolidation process
  • Work closely with finance teams across the wider group to ensure accurate and timely reporting

About You

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in group consolidation within a complex, international environment
  • Strong technical IFRS knowledge, particularly business combinations, fair value and impairment
  • Experience reviewing DCF models in an impairment or valuation context
  • Strong understanding of consolidation processes and preparation of group financial statements
  • Experience managing external audit relationships at group level
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with a group consolidation/reporting system
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with strong attention to detail
