Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join a dynamic public affairs team, advising clients on political, policy and regulatory issues in a fast-moving environment. This is an opportunity to lead client relationships, shape strategic campaigns and provide trusted counsel on issues that sit at the intersection of politics, business and reputation.

Working with a diverse portfolio of clients, they provide expert advice on public affairs, stakeholder engagement and strategic communications, helping businesses navigate an increasingly complex policy landscape.

Description

  • Lead the day-to-day management and strategic direction of a portfolio of public affairs client accounts.
  • Monitor and analyse UK political, parliamentary and policy developments, providing timely insight and recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver public affairs strategies to support client objectives and manage legislative, regulatory and reputational challenges.
  • Build and leverage stakeholder networks across government, parliament, industry and the media.
  • Support the development of junior team members while ensuring consistently high standards of client delivery.

Profile

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within public affairs consultancy, government relations, politics, parliament or the civil service.
  • Strong knowledge of UK politics, Westminster, Whitehall, parliament and the media landscape.
  • Demonstrable experience developing and delivering successful public affairs and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to advise senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Strong organisational skills, political judgement and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
