Managing Quantity Surevyor

£100,000 - £110,000 Per Annum + Package

We are working with a Major Tier One Civil Engineering contractor who are recruiting for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a major Design & Build infrastructure project.

You'll act as the commercial lead for the design function, managing consultant and design packages, overseeing cost reporting and forecasting, administering NEC contracts (particularly NEC Option E), and ensuring robust commercial control throughout the design lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing the commercial delivery of design and consultancy packages.
• Administering NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
• Producing and reviewing cost reports, forecasts and change control registers.
• Monitoring design progress against programme and budget.
• Supporting Design Managers with commercial and contractual matters.
• Managing commercial risk, opportunities and design-related change.
• Working closely with design, planning and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.

What You'll Need

• Proven commercial management experience within rail, civils, infrastructure or major projects.
• Strong NEC contract knowledge, ideally NEC4 Option E.
• Experience managing design and consultancy packages within a Design & Build environment.
• Strong understanding of cost reporting, forecasting, change management and risk.
• Ability to assess the commercial impact of design development and programme changes.
• Degree qualified with in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management.
