Energy Efficiency Sales Engineer - #2136574

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 + Bonus
Reporting to: PSM Sales Manager
Travel: 75% London / 25% UK-wide

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Energy Efficiency Sales Engineer to drive the specification and sale of energy efficiency, metering, monitoring and power quality solutions across the UK and Ireland.

The role will have a strong focus on the Data Centre market, particularly Colo and Enterprise Data Centres, while also covering wider C&I opportunities.

You will work closely with consultants, end users, system integrators, partners and internal sales teams to identify opportunities, develop specifications and deliver technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales and specification of energy efficiency, metering and monitoring solutions.
• Develop relationships with Data Centres, consultants, end users and system integrators.
• Prepare and manage tenders, quotations and project opportunities.
• Conduct CPD presentations, lunch & learns and customer events.
• Manage and develop the Systems Integrator / Partner programme.
• Support regional sales teams with technical expertise and project development.
• Identify new business opportunities and manage the project pipeline.
• Provide market, competitor and customer feedback to the wider business.
• Develop customer audit processes to identify energy efficiency and monitoring opportunities.
• Manage forecasts and support revenue and margin targets.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree qualified in Electrical, Electronic or Software Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline - essential.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical solution sales.
• Strong experience in metering and measurement - essential.
• Experience in energy management, energy efficiency or power quality.
• Data Centre sales experience highly desirable, ideally within Colo or Enterprise Data Centres.
• Strong understanding of Low Voltage electrical networks, BMS/SCADA and industrial communication networks.
