Electrical Shift Engineer

Location: City of London
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – Days Only, 7:00am–6:00pm
Overtime: Available

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join a highly regarded facilities management team based in the City of London.

The Role

Working as part of a dedicated engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the building's electrical systems and associated plant.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, respond to electrical faults, and ensure all works are completed safely and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults.
• Maintaining electrical systems, plant and equipment.
• Responding to breakdowns and ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.
• Completing routine inspections and testing.
• Ensuring all works comply with relevant health & safety procedures.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Working closely with the wider engineering and facilities team.
• Supporting contractors and specialist engineers when required.
• Ensuring excellent standards of service are maintained at all times.

What We're Looking For

• Recognised electrical qualification, ideally City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a commercial building services or facilities management environment.
• Strong electrical maintenance experience.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A proactive approach to maintenance and engineering.
• 18th Edition would be advantageous.
• Experience within a high-end commercial environment would be beneficial.
