Head of Major Projects

Day Rate: £700 - £750 per day (Umbrella)
Working Pattern: Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office

We are recruiting for an experienced Head of Major Projects to lead the delivery of a significant programme of capital projects across a large and varied property portfolio.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing a portfolio of high-value refurbishment, planned maintenance, decarbonisation and capital projects from inception through to completion. You will provide programme-wide oversight, ensure effective governance and drive successful delivery against time, cost and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of major capital and revenue projects.
• Manage a portfolio of refurbishment, planned maintenance and decarbonisation schemes.
• Provide strategic programme management and governance oversight.
• Develop project scopes, business cases and procurement strategies.
• Manage project budgets, risks and contractual performance.
• Lead relationships with senior stakeholders, consultants and contractors.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and in line with agreed objectives. 

About You

• Significant experience delivering complex capital projects and programmes.
• Strong understanding of construction, refurbishment and project delivery processes.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Professional qualification or membership such as RICS, CIOB, RIBA or equivalent is highly desirable
