Syndicate Accountant
About the Role
Join a global insurance group as a Syndicate Accountant. Drive accurate syndicate and regulatory reporting for their Lloyd's syndicate, partnering across underwriting, claims, and finance teams to deliver process improvements and tight controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the general ledger close for Syndicate and related entities (US GAAP and UK GAAP reporting)
- Maintain controls and reconciliations across technical accounts and balance sheet items
- Support interface implementation and collaborate on system improvements
- Partner with Finance teams on analysis, planning, and regulatory reporting
- Liaise with auditors and support audit processes
Requirements
- Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or working towards
- Deep Lloyd's market knowledge, Lloyd's/FCA/PRA reporting experience. (including Xchanging, LCA processes) either from Practice or Industry
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated team player comfortable working independently and mentoring more junior staff
